Cumbria Curtain Call offers a range of accessible, affordable and unique classes, tailored for all ages and abilities in a wide range of communication and performance subjects. All of our opportunities are planned and delivered in a way that is underpinned by our key set of values.
Group classes and workshops are available in Musical Theatre and Drama, as well as
one-to-one and online options in other performance and communication subjects, including Singing, Public Speaking, Audition Preparation and English as a Foreign Language.
At Cumbria Curtain Call we understand the value of self expression and character building, both on and off the stage. We offer high quality, affordable and accessible tuition in a range of subjects
Our fun-packed group classes and courses for children and young people focus on specific communication and performing arts skills, but also confidence building, the ability to work in a team and creative expression, all of which are valuable life skills.
Above all, Cumbria Curtain Call's classes are interactive, energetic and tailored to each group's individual needs, learning styles and enjoyment. Every individual and group is unique and we strongly believe our programmes help each learner develop at their own pace and in a way that best suits them.
Everyone who takes part in group classes is given equal opportunities and is encouraged to try new things. That being said, we strongly believe that each individual should always feel comfortable and be given the chance to develop and try things at their own pace.

Grace Heap
Founder & Lead Tutor
Grace Heap is a professional actor, singer and tutor from Cumbria.
​
Having training in classical singing from a young age, she took part in local productions and music festivals.
​
At age 11, Grace joined the National Youth Choirs Of Great Britain (NYCGB), attending biannual courses where she received choral, classical and musical tuition, until she was 18. During her time with NYCGB Grace performed in prestigious venues around the country such as The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Coventry Cathedral.

Although growing up around classical music, Grace always had a love for Jazz and Musicals and at 18 moved to London to train in Musical Theatre at The MTA (The Musical Theatre Academy).
Since graduating, Grace has worked consistently, performing in musicals, plays, tours, concerts, children's entertainment and educational productions around the UK and abroad.
Grace has also been teaching acting and vocal students of all ages for 9 years, both face-to-face and online. She regularly prepares learners for LAMDA exams and auditions, as well as her usual tutoring.
After returning from working in Guangzhou, China, Grace returned to her roots in Cumbria where she set up Cumbria Curtain Call. Her motivation for this was to bring Drama and Musical Theatre education to her local area, in the most accessible and creative way possible, for local children and adults alike.

Grace is a certified Vocal Health First Aider.
In addition she is a Certified Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational therapist. She specialises in confidence and performance anxiety, is a certified Connected Kids Children's Mindfulness and Meditation and has qualifications in Soft Tissue Therapy, giving her a range of diverse skills to draw upon in both her coaching and professional practice.

Grace is currently working towards an MA in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance Coaching with the Voice Study Centre & University of Wales, Trinity St David.
Grace is a full member of both Spotlight and Equity, and is a member of the British Voice Association and the Association of Teachers of Singing.
